The DNA of Tel Aviv

In just over 100 years, Tel Aviv has become home to a stock exchange, major global businesses, the highest concentration of start-ups per capita and a population that combines cultures and languages from across the world. We discover that it is possible to describe this location as actually having two genetic structures. One genetic structure begins with the story of the city of Jaffa. The second strand is the DNA of Tel Aviv itself. This is the story of the Jewish diaspora and the dream of a Jewish city that spurred this population to establish a neighbourhood on the sand dunes next to Jaffa. That neighbourhood, of course, became the city of Tel Aviv.
